Hibiscus Mahogany Splendor

Picture beautiful, deep burgundy, maple shaped leaves covering a bush three to four feet tall and wide in your summer landscape.

Hibiscus Mahogany Splendor is a heat and sun loving annual that loves north Texas summers. It grows rapidly as the temperatures rise, so rapidly that it will create a hedge in one season. For this reason, it should be planted as a background accent. To create a striking and eye catching show, plant Mahogany Splendor alongside chartreuse colored coleus or potato vine.

Just remember to plant in full sun and to allow plenty of space. Sheer back when branches become unruly.

Flowers are not produced in north Texas due to frost….. the colorful foliage is attraction enough.

Create a buzz in your landscape, plant this showy, heat loving summer annual in your next landscape.
