The blue-green, sword-shaped leaves of Yucca gloriosa ‘Variegata’ are edged with fine creamy-yellow margins. This perennial offers year round interest and an architectural presence to a garden.  In summer, beautiful cream colored flowers soar atop a seven foot flower stalk creating a stunning visual display. This renowned Yucca has been honored with the honorable Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society.
‘Variegata’ is a variegated cultivar of the Yucca gloriosa which is found growing wild on sand dunes of the subtropical southeastern United States, from North Carolina to Florida. If established, this yucca is cold hardy withstanding temperatures as low as -4 ºF. In cold weather its cream margins cast a pinkish hue for an extra touch of interest. For ‘Variegata’s best performance plant it in full sun.
With minimal care, this drought tolerant, cold hardy, heat hardy yucca makes the perfect north Texas perennial. Unique in every way, this plant is sure to standout in the garden.
