In early spring, masses of tiny iridescent blue flowers cover the spreading evergreen foliage of Veronica umbrosa ‘Georgia Blue’. Its glossy deep green foliage becomes tinged with purple hues in winter. Bright yellow daffodils in a sea of ‘Georgia Blue’ flowers offer an aesthetic contrast in the garden.
V. ‘Georgia Blue’ was discovered by Roy Lancaster, a famous English plant enthusiast while on an expedition to the Republic of Georgia in 1979.
