Salvia leucantha is an excellent low-maintenance perennial for showy fall color. Its narrow silver-green foliage produces long cascading-like flower stalks with attractive velvety soft blooms of violet and white. Occasionally, some S. leucanthas produce equally as admirable solid purple blooms.
As the common name implies, it is native to Mexico and makes an exceptional xeriscape perennial. In addition, to being water-wise it’s a beneficial nectar source for hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Honored as a Texas Superstar, Mexican Bush Sage is proven to provide top-notch garden performance.
